  • Develops and executes strategic plans for information governance and eDiscovery initiatives.

  • Manages cross-functional document review and production teams, and has responsibility for analyzing data and making recommendations regarding effective lifecycle management of paper and electronic records, and for ensuring the security, availability, and retention of records through the application of the latest technologies.

 

  • Develops appropriate information governance and records management and retention training for staff.

 

  • Negotiates with vendors and then manages outside storage accounts, to ensure that the proper level of service is provided by the vendors.

 

  • Prepares regular status reports on team activities, projects, and other initiatives.

 

  • Responsible for various aspects of data management, such as data remediation (securely removing old, unused data, and eliminating archived PII), data classification and categorization (pinpointing where electronic and paper files should be assigned and how they should be indexed and tagged), data mapping (constructing and maintaining a directory of evolving data source inventory, identifying important electronically stored information repositories, eliminating irrelevant repositories and compliance with all applicable standards), defensible deletion (removal of redundant, outdated content from the system, to cut costs, reduce risks, and improve search functionality).
