  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic agreements, contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any agreements for the provision of any type of academic research services, academic services, academic support services, or professional services involving an academic institution, another academic institution, business entity, clinical faculty, clinical practice plan, research entity, or the like.

  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic affiliation agreements, contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any agreements which specified facilities, personnel, resources or services are provided from one to the other, on a continuing or scheduled basis, free of charge; an academic affiliation agreement is generally required as a condition precedent in any situation requiring an articulation agreement for the transfer of academic credits applicable to a student from one academic institution who took courses and received credit therefore in another academic institution; affiliation agreements are common between an academic institution and another entity (academic, business, governmental or the like), for purposes of providing an educational opportunity for students wishing to gain credit for learning supervisory experience, such as practicums (undergraduate or graduate-level courses, often in some complex or specialized field of study, that are designed to give students supervised practical application of a particular field of study or theory, such as clinical experience, an internship program or a student teaching position).

  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic articulation agreements (also called transfer agreements), contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any – whether in the form of an academic collaboration, academic partnership, affiliation agreement, memorandum of agreement, memorandum of understanding, or the like – in which a part of an academic program of one academic institution is provided by one or more other academic institutions, and at the end of the program the student receives full credit from each academic institutions at which the student attended any particular part of the program; each participating academic institution must be accredited by an accreditor recognized by the United State (US) Department of Education.

  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic consortial agreements, contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any agreements – whether in the form of an academic collaboration, academic partnership, affiliation agreement, memorandum of agreement, memorandum of understanding, or the like – in which a part of an academic program of one academic institution is provided by one or more other academic institutions, and at the end of the program the student receives full credit from each academic institutions at which the student attended any particular part of the program; each participating academic institution must be accredited by an accreditor recognized by the United State (US) Department of Education.

  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic cooperative agreements, contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any agreements between the Federal government and a state government, state governmental agency, municipality or private company, in which the Federal government grants funds to the recipient entity for a public purpose, such as furthering education.

  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic dual credit agreements, contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any agreements between either an academic institution of higher education, a high school, or some contractual agreement between the two, administered by either or both, in which high schoolers in the eleventh (11th) and twelfth (12th) grades may apply to a participating academic institution of higher education to enroll in courses or programs in such academic institution of higher education, and may then simultaneously earn credits towards both high school graduation and for credit if the student then attends the particular participating academic institution of higher education.

  • Drafting, negotiation or review of various types of academic handshake agreements, contracts, documents, forms and templates, which are in general any agreements between academic institutions to cooperate together do something in the future (such as to work on some joint research project), based only on mutual good faith, similar in concept to a loosely-drafted letter of intent or memorandum of understanding, which may not be enforceable against or by either party; due to the diplomacy inherent in international negotiating protocols, handshake agreements are common between domestic academic institutions (which generally prefer well-defined agreements) and international academic institutions (which generally prefer less-defined agreements).

  • Working knowledge of one of the perks of Federal employment, in which the Federal government routinely enters into academic alliance agreements (AAAs) with prestigious academic institutions through U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), administered through the Chief Human Resources Council (CHCO), providing access to high-quality, affordable post-secondary educational resources through reduced tuition rates and scholarships to Federal employees (some of which AAAs also extend academic benefits to spouses and legal dependents of Federal employees), with courses in disciplines such as acquisition, economics, financial auditing, human resources (HR), information technology (IT) – with an emphasis on cybersecurity – as well as courses in the Federal and state recommended core curricula of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
